Travel trailer on pop up site? Allowed?

We will be staying in the tent loop with our 21' hybrid. If we got a larger camper. We will not be dumping at Disney unless it is an emergency, we will be staying offsite when we leave- so we will dump when we pull into the next campground.

I honestly love the size of the 2000 loop and we got our camper with the intention of staying there :)

I would hope that if the Fort continues the practice they install a dump station somewhere on the property away from regular sites. Having been the unfortunate person placed in the end of the 2100 loop I can tell you its no fun when people pull into the empty site next to you and dump. It happened with some regularity and I can tell you that not everyone cleans up after themselves. One of the sites/areas that I will never again let myself be placed in.
thats a good point. the downside was to go and find somewhere to dump on our way out. there's definitly somewhere they could add a dump station on site

Since many campgrounds have areas (or the entire park) where they are serviced only by a single dump station, I wonder if Disney has ever considered an expansion that did not include a sewer connection ? Much like the 2000 Loop but built more for travel trailers on short stays. It would reduce the cost of construction considerably and be perfect for weekenders.
Look at me, being the optimist.

I mean- the reflections area (that will never be) would be PERFECT for that ;)

I was thinking more along the lines of the area across from group camp ? or maybe fill in some of the area across from 1400 loop back to where the railroad used to run ?
I believe the "Reflections" area would end up being the Uber expensive, high end, concierge sites 8-) (as has been discussed in the past)

Just my amateur imagineer voice in my head, talking out loud.

Hate to say it, but if they do anything that is going to Expand the Fort, it is not going to be a free dump station that they already charge campers at other sites. I know its a practice to find an empty site to dump after leaving 1500 or 2000. But if they do anything, it will be to cater to high end users.

Saw it last year also.

When I spitball these things I often forget to account for the Disney bubble. What might make sense in the outside world will never compute inside the bubble. Where else would a resort owner not be building extra sites at a furious pace when they can rent them for $150 per night average ?

Honestly, I am ok with it- dump sites are usually pretty smelly and with all the rented units- who wants to wait in a poo train line to leave the Fort? We end up dumping at home if the trip is 2-4 hrs away so we don't have to wait.

So....EXPAND the Fort!

We are 1100 miles away, not an option for us.

Yeah I get it. We had a small pop up trailer, and use to drop at one of the Pilots or Love's on the way back up. Back then it used to be 7 buck to dump. I'm sure its got to be close to that price now. And they are "pull through", making it quick.

I’m always afraid that they will decide to make the tent/pop up loops full hook up. Face it, us tent campers are the bottom feeders. We don’t bring in the revenue that the bigger rigs do. Even our local campground got rid of tent sites unless you want primitive ( which I don’t!!! I want electric and at least nearby water and bathrooms)

No you are not. You pay for park tickets, pay for food, pay for merchandise, and pay 90 bucks a night or more for that privilege. And quite frankly, the 2 loops for tent and pop-ups tend to be the liveliest and most friendly loops in the campground. And they produce the most raving fans for the park.
