Travel time/ method to Contemporary from POR

We are staying at POR and have 8:30am PS for Chef Mickey's. We will have our car with us. Would it be quicker to drive (to TTC I guess?) and park, catch the monorail to Cont., OR to take a Disney bus (to MK I guess?) and walk over to Cont.? Or maybe I've got this all wrong. Help appreciated.

I'd drive, park at the TCC center and catch the monorail. Then I would have the ease of going to MK or Epcot for the rest of the day. However, if I was just going to Chef Mickey's I would park at the CR. I think you need to be there 20 minutes before your ressie.

We're planning on staying at MK that morning, so we'll probably take your advice and drive to TTC and park there, taking monorail to Cont.
