If i recall, the last time we went to Disney we did not take into consideration the amount of time it would take to actually WALK through Epcot to get to the restaurant. I felt so rushed, and I don't want to do that this time!

We're staying at the GF. If our ADR is at the Biergarten at 6:00- what time would you recommend we leave to get over there in time?

Thanks!

To avoid walking through Future World, you could take the YC/BC or Boardwalk buses from the MK to one of those resorts and walk through the International Gateway into the WS between the UK and France pavilions.

I think the only problem with getting a bus to YC/BC or BW is that you would have to go to Epcot or MK to get a resort bus. There isn't direct transportation from GF to any Epcot resort. I would give yourself 60-75 minutes. Since you are on the Monorail, you can go to the TTC and transfer to an Epcot Monorail. If you give yourself 30 minutes to do that and then 30-45 minutes to walk from the entrance in FW to the Germany Pavilion, you should be more than fine. Honestly, I don't think it will take you anywhere near that amount of time, but this way you wouldn't feel rushed.

When using Disney transportation you should always allow 2 hours. Not to say it takes that long but you never know. Nothing worst then being rushed.

A couple of times my family have had to hustle it to get to Worldshowcase restaurants!

I reckon it would take 45 mins to get to the front gate, providing you have no prblems with the monorail. I always forget how long that ride from the TTC is to Epcot. Then you want to allow at least 30 mins to walk to the back. Which is pretty in line with what everyone else has suggested.

It generally takes about 30 minutes to walk from the main Epcot entrance to the American Adventure pavilion. I concur with what everyone else has said. I would leave no less than an hour, perhaps even a bit more, to travel from the Grand Floridian to the restaurant.

At least an hour, maybe an hour and a half or two hours just to play it safe - you can always kill extra time walking around the WS countries nearby.

I would agree with two hours. That way you can enjoy the journey instead of rushing. There's plenty to do if you get there terribly early.

I do not know if this is in your budget. But we recently stay at the Grand Floridian this past december and had a couple of dinner reservations at EPCOT. We took a cab to the Beach Club and then walked to restaurant from the international gateway. If your reservation is at 6pm you could leave the GF at 5:30 with a cab and be there in enough time. To me the time saved doing this was well worth the $.

A cab is about 12 to 15 with the tip from the GF to the beach club.
