Travel time from MK to Cali Grill?

If my Cali Grill ressie is at 7:05pm and we are at MK (this is an MVMCP night), what time do we need to head over to the Contemporary?
What's the fastest way to get there anyway?

I'm hoping we can see the castle lit up first, thinking that bridge in front of the Tomorrowland Noodle station would be a good place to snap a pic.

The Contemporary is about a five to seven minute walk from the MK gates (or one stop on the Resort Monorail).

From MK I would walk over to the Contemporary. I only takes about 10 min from the exit of MK. Honestly I would say less than a mile.

Definitely walk. Before the party starts, it'll be a mob scene outside the park.
Also because of this, I suggest giving yourself a good 20 minutes at least. The walk itself should only take about 10 minutes, but you never know how long it will take you to wade through the sea of party-goers. There might also be a line at the CG check-in. As they say arrive 10-15 minutes early, you're best off leaving the park by 6.30.
Enjoy! It's my favorite restaurant at Disney by far (have never been to Victoria and Albert's, however).

The quickest way is the resort monorail as it is only one stop and it deposits you right inside the Contemporary resort. However, if there is a mad rush to leave then walking is the better option.

However, I am not sure what the traffic flow is like on a MVMCP night at
"closing time" as many guests at that point are probably going to the party and there is no "Wishes" to encourage other people to stay right until the end.
