Has anyone used tripinsurance.com for their Disney World trip? Good or bad experience? Do you know if they cover airfare?

At tripinsurancestore.com they have phone numbers of actual people who are in the US.

I have called them and asked many questions.
And they took the time to explain everything.
The same person will handle all your business.

I'm a travel agent. I don't usually recomend insurance for Disney trips, since Disney's cancelation policlies are pretty good. Read through Disney's cancelation policy and compare what the insurance company is charging to what you'd lose if you canceled and see if it's worth it before you buy. You may find that the best deal is to just insure your airline tickets and not the Disney portion of your vacation.

I have no experiance with the company you mentioned, but I recomend Travel Safe and TravelEx to my own clients, and have used Travel Safe myself, if you'd like to compare them with the company you mentioned.

TripInsurance.com offers one travel insurance provider which is MH Ross.
When buying an MH Ross plan, you should always:

1. Insure your entire trip (from the day you leave your home to the day you return to your home).
2. Include all your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs (including your airfare).

MH Ross is a reputable travel insurance provider.
Every Insurance policy has exclusions and guidelines to follow. Be sure to read the policy.
Know what you are buying, what you are covered for, and what you are not covered for.

If you need help, call MH Ross. You can also call a comparison website such as InsureMyTrip.com.
Insuremytrip can explain the benefits to you as MH Ross would but, since they are not the insurance company,
they can also compare the MH Ross plans & prices to those of other travel insurance providers.

I haven't used the site you mentioned but I still get travel insurance when I travel. Especially lately with all of the trouble with the airlines, you never know so getting trip cancellation/delay coverage wouldn't be a bad idea. What you are covered for depends on which type of plan you buy, so just be sure to read through everything before you purchase a plan. I've gone with Travel Guard before and have been really pleased with them.

Did you end up getting insurance with them? I always get travel insurance, but at $66+ per person, the Disney premium seems a bit high compared to some of these other sites. However, I don't want to purchase insurance that won't provide adequate coverage or is not a reputable company.

Yes I have bought travel insurance with them four times.
I even bought insurance with them when my daughter went to do biology field work way down in Mexico.
The thought needing a special flight to get back to the US is my biggest motivation, but I also would hate to lose a vacation.

Fortunately I have never had to file a claim.
But they were recommended by Cruise Critic.
It's an agency that books the insurance with various insurance companies and they helped me figure out which policy would best meet our needs.
I liked having a real person, in the US, to help.

I purchased and used Disney's trip insurance in July 2005. Now I booked everything through them including my flight...

While flying home we hit very bad weather in Atlanta where we were suppose to transfer planes. We could not land there and ended up in Augusta for a lay-over then back into Atlanta where we missed our connection... Now its late and we were cold and hungry. No clothes in our carry-ons. Contacted the insurance # and immediately filed the claim. Yes I had to pay out of pocket but they reimbursed me for everything.. Sweatshirts in the airport and food, the hotel room, breakfast, and a toiletry allowance even though this was not purchased. They arranged our flight out the next day while others were still waiting... Also we received free transportation to the hotel that night!! Some people don't believe in trip insurance and to be honest this was the first time I purchased it. Boy was I ever glad I did. WE would have been OOP for about $400.00 that was not expected... By the way the airlines DID NOT provide hotels for others that were stranded. They slept in the airport.
