Travel Insurance ?

Where is a good place to get trip insurance? Can I still add it to my package through Disney? I thought I'd skip out on it and save some $$ back when I booked but now with all the money I've spent with the package and airfare (about $4200) I'm thinking I should add some kind of travel protection.

Disney can add it on.

If you don't care about losing your trip money, don't buy the insurance.
If you sleep better at night knowing you have it, then buy it!

There are many things that can happen before your trip that could cause you to miss it. Someone gets sick, car accident, etc.

We have used Travel Guard and have been very happy. They have affordable options depending on your needs.

I THINK they are cheaper than Disney's package, so check into it.

I get mine through American Express...

For my current vacation in Septembet, 2 weeks, (one week at Disney, one on a Cruise) I insured my entire trip for 135% of value for $178.00 based on a price of $5,000.

This also includes emergency evacuation, luggage delay, etc.

I would highly recommend doing research before settling on a company. Insuremytrip.com has many to choose from, just be certain that you cover everything that is necessary for YOUR trip. Just remember, insurance companies are there to make money so again read carefully!
