Hi - a child at my son's school has cancer that has recurred. The family is hoping to make a trip as soon as possible to Disneyworld - "time is of the essence" per the mom. Truly just heartbreaking.

In addition to trying my best to see if I can find a room to book for them (any advice there is welcome! I have a TON of points just waiting to be used and there just isn't any availability online no matter how many I am willing to use) I am hoping you all could provide any information about travel insurance.

Clearly a pre-existing condition, but they need to be covered in case she requires urgent care while in FL.

Any recommendations/links/companies would be terrific so I can pass them to the family.

Hi Hon 🦋
My heart goes out to them.
DVC is extremely difficult to organize at the last moment.
I would recommend contacting
Make A Wish
I contacted them 2 years ago for a little guy I work with that has E.B. 🦋 ( https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/epidermolysis-bullosa-what-is )

If you are going to not use an agency I would recommend calling Disney direct and asking what if any help they might be able to provide
For more information, please contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

You might also want to contact DVC direct and ask for a manager and plead your case,, BUT
before you do have all the info in front of you.

I am not as familiar with Give Kids the world but you might want to check them out.
The DIS Boards sponsors them

Not sure if you noticed my profile pic - my nephew had EB, so I am intimately familiar.
Thanks for the info.
I’m not close with this family so am not in a position to make travel suggestions, but have shared the insurance info.
