Travel Insurance for Renting Points?

Hello out there,

I'm hoping someone on this board can help me. I did a search, but wasn't finding what I needed to know.

I am strongly considering renting points (hopefully from a lovely fellow DIS'er!) for a studio at Beach Club Villas from November 28-December 2, 2005.

I've never done this before, but would like to give it a go. I do have a question - has anyone every purchased trip insurance for a point rental vacation? Obviously one doesn't anticipate anything happening, but since it seems $$ changes hands in this process a lot earlier, I'd like to know if there is any fallback plan out there.

When you get the confirmation from Disney there is information about travel protection plans for airfare and baggage, medical coverage and vacation points. They only value the points at $5.00. I don't know if this is offered to non-members. The policy is underwritten by Travel Guard. The best policies are generally available over the internet. Try the Travel Guard web site.
