We've always had a rolling annual travel insurance policy through DH's work but this is being discontinued and now that I have booked flights I want to make sure that I'm not left unprotected.

Found some quotes through comparison websites but not sure what I'm doing!

Any recommendations please - we are interested in an annual policy

Thanks

We have used these people in the past:

http://www.direct-travel.co.uk/

They do an annual policy that includes schedules airline failure cover for £77.50 (couple, worldwide, 30day trip limit).

Thankfully I don't know how good they are if you have to claim.

We always use insure and go as there are 5 of us and kids are included free - £107.10 for 12 months gold cover.

We have used Insure & Go for a few years now but renewal came a few weeks ago jumped from £117 to over £150 (Black cover)
looked around for a better price and couldn't beat it, not for cover you get with Insure & Go, main thing was cover for 2 laptops and camera, all worth £500 each, couldn't find another company that covered them they were all upto £250 or £300 limit for a single item. Almost went with LV as they were half price and offered Quidco cashback but decided to stick with top cover of Insure and go and look again next year.
There is always someone offering cheaper insurance but make sure it covers what you need.

we had to claim from them 18 months ago when are flight back from mco with virgin was eventually cancelled. we got a pay out of £20 each for the delay in getting home.
Our original flight back should of been at 8.40pm, virgin put us up at the Hyatt at the airport for the night. we flew home 6pm the following day.
