Hi my girlfriend and i are going to orlando in mid september and are wanting to go to disney and universal etc, does anyone know the best way of getting around other than renting a car? were not staying at a disney hotel can we still use the wdw buses? any idea where i can find some more info? cheers

Hi, The disney free buses are only for people staying in a disney resort. Depending on where you are staying and where you want to get to the Lynx buses are normally pretty good. you can see the timetables on www.golynx.com. we have used them before, they are just the local public transport but they are pretty good and will get you around. You may also have a free bus from your hotel to disney parks throughout the day. you would need to check with your hotel for that. :)

If you have a WDW park ticket you can use all Disney transportation free of charge.

This includes buses to hop from park to park, monorails (MK to Epcot, and round the MK resorts), boats (MK to Wilderness Lodge and Epcot to MGM and the Epcot resorts).

You don't need to be staying at a WDW reosrt to use any of the transportation.

You can also take advamtage of any restaurant in the parks or at the Disney resorts :)
If you have the time it's great paying a visit to the resorts to see the different theming and to grab a meal :)

You can get the Lynx bus route number 50 from the Transportation and Ticket Centre (near MK) to Seaworld. From Seaworld you can use the I-Ride Trolley to get anywhere along I-Drive :)
