2 questions. Is the western way completed? where do we pick it up from Coronado Springs, to go north to the florida turnpike?
2nd question.somone posted (I forgot where) that there is a NEW bypass of Jacksonville. we will be coming from the north (south carolina) anyone have any details? thanks!

Hi smidgy,
I live in Jacksonville and the new bypass is 9A. When coming from the north, you will pick it up the same place 295 is (just after you pass the airport exit). Eventually, 9A and 295 will become a complete circle around Jacksonville. When heading home, you will pick up 9A right after the overpass with Jacksonville spelled out on it.
One thing to be aware of, 9A is still in construction and not completed yet. You will have 1 traffic light you need to stop at. This does not cause a major delay. I drive it everyday and even in rush hour the backup is not bad at all. I would stay away from 295 if at all possible. The traffic on 295 is much worse (and a nightmare in rush hour) and the distance is much shorter on 9A than on 295.

thanks RJ! this help help a lot. we will be going home thru Ga, Tenn. etc, since we live in the chicago area. just going down a dif. route this time, to see some mountains, and spend a night at st. augustine beach.
anyone know about the new western way?
