How much time should we plan for getting from Pop to each park in time for rope drop?

I want to have a set "okay family we need to be walking out of our room door at this time" type of plan, especially for DH :)

Looking at the maps, MK seems to be furthest away, so would we want more travel time on our MK days for transportation? What about the other 3 parks?

I agree with Disneylover99, an hour is just the right amount of time to travel. From Pop, it usually takes about 20 minutes on the bus. You also have to consider waiting for the bus to arrive, if there are any scooters or wheel chairs getting on the bus and walking time from your room to the buses.

Thanks for your replies. If we are going to a park on a morning EMH day, still 1 hour to travel?

Off subject question, if MK has EMH's, do they still do the welcome show, and if so, do they do it at 8 (8-9 EMH), or at 9, regular park hours. Thanks!

An hour is about right. You may need to wait for the next bus if the stop is busy that morning, but the bus service is pretty convenient.

I agree with everyone else. While an hour probably sounds like a lot, you never know what issues will arise and it's better to be 10 minutes than 5 minutes late :)

I posted this on an older thread before I found this one so I'm posting here too! I am arriving at POP in 12 days :yay: - and on my first full day, I have a reservation for the 8:30 KTTK tour. MK opens at 9:00 that day, so busses should start at 8:00. I'm concerned that it won't be early enough to get to MK by 8:30 :worried: - what do you think? What other option might I have? :thanks:

I'll post my same reply...

Actually the buses start rolling at 6:30AM each day for early breakfast reservations pre-park opening. I would be at the Pop bus stop by 7:15 to allow enough time to get there, get through the MK gates and check in for the 8:30 tour.

:banana:Thanks so much! Everything I read said the busses start an hour before park opening, so this makes me feel much better! I thought it was a little weird that they didn't have something set up for early stuff. Now I can cross that off of my "worry" list! :smickey:

You're welcome. I hope you have a magical trip! :thumbsup2

:mickeyjumThanks - I'm going for some solo time (first time ever) and to a friend's wedding (at WDW) so I'm really excited! party:
