Travel from Disney to Universal

I know that there is a ticket with transportation from mears...anyone actually used it? how useful was it, or reliable?

the past few times Ive visited Disney Ive wanted to go to Universal, but it seemed to be too inconvenient to rent a car.... Im wondering if the shuttle bus would be worth the purchase?

any feedback? anyone thats used the mears shuttle that came with the ticket to universal?

My DS & DDIL used them this past August. They were pleased with the service and would use them again.

We took a taxi...super easy and convenient. It's about $35 each way plus tip. The resorts have cabs waiting or have bell services call, then Universal has an area after the escalators for cabs.

Moving to the Transportation Board

We took a cab there and back in October from VWL and it cost us about $40+ tip each way. It was very covenient.

We used it to o the Universal one day, Sea World another and then Discovery Cove a 3rd day (in September). It was $19/each person. I just called the day before and set up a time. They offered several time slots (7:30, 8:30, or 9:30). They were always on time. The drivers were fantastic.

I set up a return time for Discovery Cove at the same time I set up our pick up time. The other two I just called Mears 2 hours before we wanted to be picked up.

All three times we had a huge bus in the morning and then the smaller shuttles in the afternoon.

I was very happy with them and would definitely use them again.

Sorry to post twice, but forgot to mention that we did use that deal with the Universal ticket. Had no problem at all. Still had to call day before to make arrangements for pick up, but when we boarded the bus, we just gave the driver the voucher.
