Travel Distance please

We are arriving on Friday, June 3 about 3:00. How far from MCO to Universal (we'll have a rental car)? And then how far from there to Cocoa Beach. I'm trying to figure out if we can go from MCO to Universal for a few hours and then to Cocoa Beach to spend the night and the day at the beach on Saturday. Saturday night we go back to stay at RPR Saturday and Sunday.

The airport is not far from Universal (maybe about 15 miles). The problem you will have is after you get your bags and rent a car, you will hit Friday rush hour traffic. So what may only take 30 minutes with no traffic, could take over an hour plus. That said, if the park is open late, it may be worth it.

Cocoa Beach is about 65 miles from Universal and can take just over an hour with light traffic, however, you will most likely hit more than "light" traffic on a Friday night in Orlando.
