Has anyone been with them?

What are they like?

I was looking at doing the XL one with them but wondered which plane it would be as it doesnt mention it?

Also online it forces you to add a car anyone know why?

We have used them but it was Aug 03, no problems just an old plane. We dont use seat back tvs, just sleep all the way so any plane will do for us.

They add the car because thats one of the ways they make the money. You can book over the phone and not take the car but then they increase cost of your flights. The car is subsiding your flights. We were going to book the car seperate but with increased flight costs it was as cheap to take their car.

You can book with them without a car but only over the phone. We have been with them several times with no problems.:thumbsup2

Hi, we've been with them a few times now. They're obviously not as impressive as big companies like Virgin or American Airlines but they're still good.

Flights are priced fairly for the most part but you have to be careful because they add on lots of extras such as extra baggage allowance (you don't get much without adding this), priority seating (they don't guarantee that your party will be seated together without this, but if you check in early there's no problem!) etc.

I know that sounded negative but I don't think it all is. If you don't mind having cheaper flights but less luxury then they are great! This time we're going with Virgin or Northwest beacuase we want a flight that goes into Orlando International instead of Sanford!

We have been we TCD twice now, they are just a simple A to B flight no frills, they are good if your not bothered about how you get there and just want to get there

Never been with them but much discussed and have seen mixed reports.

Do a search on TCD perhaps on here?

Hi

We travelled with them 4 years ago and we had a really bad time. When we landed part of the inside of the roof fell off and took a chunk out of my leg & all the oxygen masks fell down which set huge panic as you can imagine. The air stewards werent in the slightest bit interested and barely broke breath to me to see if I, or the other passengers, were ok - this really peeved me off as the least they could have done was made sure everyone was OK or asked me if I needed anything to bandage my leg. The flight home wasnt much better with the exception of the air stewards who were good - as the plane landed all of the oxygen masks fell down again and there was a lot of people panicking however the stewards dealt with this a lot better.

It wasnt a good esxperience at all for me Im afraid and I would never fly with them again no matter the price. However it could be that I have had a really unfortunate experience with TCD, and yours could be a better one.

My uncle and aunt came back from Orlando on Saturday. They booked with TCD but ended up flying on Thomas Cook planes with My Travel and Thomas Cook cabin crew. They said it was fine. Better than they expected from TCD anyway. Are all 3 merged now?

Mandy :)

We booked with Liberty Travel once I think.

You are right about the mixed report, just that TCD do seem to be discussed a lot on here.
