Hi All,

I have seen a few decent prices on their site and am thinking about booking but was wondering what they are like as a company. From what I have seen they are linked with VH. The car hire they offer is inclusive of insurance but do you need to pay any extra at the other end? The hotel we were looking at is Champions World Resort.....any views on that?

Thanks all.

Cath :)

They are basically virgin holidays but without the tailor made part so nothing to worry there.

We alwasy upgrade pur insurance to include a tank of fuel so im nOt 100% sure aboit the free can with insurances as we never take them but find a better deal else where

Only used them once when it was Travel City Direct (independant)
Since then they went bankrupt the website & customer database was sold to Virgin Holidays, its now just the same as booking direct with Virgin, they use the same planes.

As for the hotel it gets mixed reviews, a little further out than we like but not too far if you have a car. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...Champions_World_Resort-Kissimmee_Florida.html

Not sure how they sell car hire, double check what they include.

Thanks for the replies. Could you recommend any other budget hotels that are better and closer to the Disney parks. I have priced things up individually and thought the package deal was fairly close to that price with the added bonus of being able to pay off a bit at a time which makes things easier.

If you give full details
Which airport?
Dates
children? ages?
price you got?

Will then look and see what is available.

Hi Wayne, you're a star :flower3:

We are needing to be there on 14th November as its our 25th wedding anniversary so we were thinking of going about 5th November but are not too fussy! There will be just the 2 of us, yay! We live in France so have to travel us to England to fly so London would probably be better but again we aren't too fussy. We originally come from the Leeds area, not too far from you so could come up to Yorkshire and fly from there. We want 2 weeks, mainly around the Disney area and we don't mind basic accomodation as we tend to be out and about for the most part but we would like a fridge in the room so that we can have cerials and make some sandwiches etc. Many thanks in advance Wayne.

Eventually got time to check it all out, you are correct the deal (came up with £1,551.07 for me on the 5th for 14 nights) includes fully inclusive insurance, an extra £62 if you want to add DH & tank of gas.
Same deal on TCD but from MAN £1548.65

DIY.
Do you have any VA airmiles? 4,000 of them. That would get you 2 flights from Gatwick on the 5th Nov for 2 weeks for £948.60. If you don't have any miles £1,034.60 ( & gain 4,336 miles pp) MAN would be about £1pp cheaper
3% Quidco but I am not even going to attpt to work that out as it will only be a small amount due to most of flight costs are taxes & fees with no cashback. http://www.quidco.com/virgin-atlantic/

Car from £184 here http://www.quidco.com/carrentals-co-uk/ & Ebookers, possibly cheaper elsewhere, 1st place I checked.

Hotel Champions World Resort using Quidco 10% code "quidcosales" via here http://www.quidco.com/hotelopia/ brings price down to £268.25 less 13% cashback(before tax) = £237.74

So potentially you could buy for £1370 if you had the miles and use Quidco
Or pay a similar price to what you are now and go for somewhere like Cypress Pointe Grandevillas at £490, Extra £72 to the TCD deal but far nicer place. Just look at Hotelopia and see what is available.

If you don't have 4,000 airmiles then the saving is minimal, if you are happy with the hotel just book the package. I just prefer to do it myself.

Hey Wayne,

Thanks for your hard work and searching! After careful consideration and looking more carefully at accomodation we have decided to pay a little more and are now trying to book an appartment at the Liki Tiki Village, I say "trying" to book as, because we live in France all are bank cards are registered here so can't do it online......I'm a bit upset as I was one click away from making the booking :confused3 I'll give them a call in the morning and book it over the phone instead. It suits us better as there is a seperate bedroom and a proper kitchen area with dishwasher and washing/drying facilities. We are paying £1824 in total so are pleased with that.

Thanks again and talk to you soon as I will be on here all the time once the booking is made and the planning can begin. :cool1:

Glad you made a choice, hope you get to book OK. Sometimes worth paying a little more.:goodvibes

Hi Wayne,

Just to let you know that we are now all booked, had to ring up today but all sorted now and very excited. Thanks for your help, as always.
