Anyone watching the orlando hotel show on the travel channel right now. They are reviewing GF.

Brings back memories.

Just turned it on. Yes it brings back memories. Wife and I got married at Sunset Pointe and honeymooned in turret room in main building conceirge in October of 2002. We are taking our 11 month okd daughter on her first trip this December for 10 days at the GF.

Have a Disney Day,
Jay,Monica, & Alexis Angoff

I just changed the channel over, I guess I missed it. :confused3

It's still on here... but almost over. It's on again at midnight and then tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm. (all eastern times)

It just ended. Ok, maybe I'm biased, but I would rather see a show with real people, or at least people who look like they could be real, than a bunch of models. What do you guys think? It seemed like everyone they used for that show just walked down the runway! :rotfl: Even the kids they used seemed plastic to me. :confused3 I really didn't enjoy the show. It felt like an info-mercial. :guilty: Is this really what the people of America want to see?? Like I said, I'm biased so maybe I'm totally off my rocker. :teeth:

I agree too many models and actors--wouldn't mind a couple of days at the ritz or jw though. . . . .jw--pool looked awesome!!

Just caught the re-run, it's actually still on. I enjoyed it, thanks for letting me know that it was playing again tonight :)

I caught the show this evening. I thought the piece on the Grand Floridian was wonderful, ~sigh.~ It made me wish I were there instead of here at home, ~sigh.~ (I need a vacation bad.)

I thought it was great that the show gave a small glimpse of the Wonderland Tea Party and the Pirates Cruise. However, I was very disappointed that they did not show the Grand Adventures in Cooking Class. That is my daughter's favorite GF children's program. She was sad when she learned that it was not mentioned.

By the way, TigrLvsPooh, you should consider yourself lucky that you were viewing the beautiful people in the background of all those resort shots and not the average-looking people in my family. (Except for my sister -- she's the cutie to my left in this photo. They could have easily used her as one of the beautiful people. ;) )

Erika you're funny! :rotfl: Do you know when are they going to show your special again? I really wanted to record it- I love those specials.

I just hate the fact that they ALWAYS show the suites/deluxe rooms. C'mon, face it, how many avarage people actually can afford those? The GF special ob Great Hotels actually showed a dormer room which is what we had the last time there but they usually spend all their time focusing on the suites. My girls want to see the "real" rooms. I mean, concierge is okay, we can afford that but I refuse to spend $8500 a day to rent that house at the Hyatt Grand Cypress that they showed. I agree also about the plastic people too. When we travel we resemble the Beverly Hillbillies more than Dynasty. One trip we actually had to bring our Himalayan cat, and EVERYTHING that goes along with a cat, with us when we checked into swanky hotel in Birmingham ALA. Our house was full of workmen and I knew that they'd wind up letting her out. The hotel couldn't have been nicer about it but we were hilarious!

I agree with you. I couldn't afford the rooms they were showing and my family will never use half of the services they were showing. I wish they would have shown the regular rooms. I just a working class family man who happens to love Disney. I enjoyed the special but it only catered to the well to do and that dosen't include me (LOL)! :rotfl:

Yes! :) Our show will be on again March 15th at 5:00 pm eastern! :cool1: So if you want to see some real people having a real Disney vacation make sure you tune in!!! ;) Hey, and maybe if we all send emails to the Travel Channel they'll make more shows like ours and save all the hot models for beach week! :rotfl: :rotfl2:
