Mapquest has two possibilities
8hrs 10 min non toll
75 to SR 44, to US 27, to US 192, to WDW.

or
7hrs 43min toll
75, to I4, to WDW.

Anyone better than the other? Anyother short cuts? Or another route?

Thanks!

Best way, 75 south to Florida Turnpike, way before you get to I-4, exit @429 south (new turnpike), a few miles (?20) down the road exit at Western Way? exit 11? (Disney back door- watch for signs). Tolls about $3.00 total, but much faster and NO TRAFFIC. Did it beginning of Aug. and it was fast. No I-4 or 192 traffic. :cool1: (If I got the last exit wrong, someone correct me)

Absolutely use the toll roads!!

I-75S

Get off at exit 328 (approximately 140 miles from Georgia/Florida State Line)

Travel on Florida Turnpike to Exit 267A (429S) (approximately 42 miles)

Travel on 429S to Exit 8 (Disney World/Hartzog Rd) (approximately 14 miles)

This road will take you to West Buena Vista Dr near Coronado Springs.

Turn right if going to All-Stars or Animal Kingdom Lodge, turn left if going anywhere else, then follow the Disney signs to your destination.

Tolls on the main Turnpike will be $2.50 for a standard vehicle. (More if pulling a trailer).

Tolls on 429S to Disney World will be just $1.00 as the Disney World Exit doesn't appear to charge a toll.

(I based the mileage on the exit numbers as they coincide with mile markers).

Just back from our trip!

Those were GREAT directions!! :thumbsup2

It was like we were the only ones on the road!

Thanks, clkelley and dell!!!

I guess it depends what part of GA you are coming from. We are about 70 miles from I-16 so we always take that to I-95 then I-4. It has taken anywhere from 5.5 hours to 7.5 hours.

We we be making trip 12 onFri. Dec. 22nd stopping in Jacksonville and heading the rest of the way Sat. Dec. 23rd.
