Travel Between CBR @ WDW and Islands of Adventure

We are ten days away from our dream vacation!! And while we are spending the majority of our time at WDW, we will be traveling off property one day to vist Islands of Adventure. I'm not renting a car and will be relying on public transportation to travel from CBR at WDW to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, any tips or tricks to make this an easy day as far as travel is concerned?

There is no quick or easy way to get from WDW to Universal by public transport. Personally, if it is just the one day, I would take a cab.

The only other way (as far as I am aware) would be to make use of the Lynx buses but, in my experience, they can be incredibly slow and you would have to get a Disney bus from CBR to Ticket & Transportation Centre, Lynx bus from TTC to Sea World and then yet another bus from Sea World (either the I-Ride Trolley to Wet n Wild and walk from there or another Lynx bus, although I am not entirely sure what number or where the nearest stop would be).

For the sake of saving a couple of hours each way in travelling and a lot of hassle, I would catch a cab.

We use the Mears Bus. YOu can google the website. Ask at the desk at your hotel and they will arrange it, 24 hours in advance. They do not run 10 am - 3 pm but we get picked up at 8 am and after other pick ups arrive at Universal at opening 9ish. You then call the number given to you 1 - 3 hours (I guess is depends on volume) before you want to be picked up and returned to your hotel. $16 - $20 per person return. For 2 of us it made it cheaper than renting a car or taxi. For 6 of us it was just easier. Hope this helps.

It's a $40 cab ride. Unfortunately no other way that makes sense to me.
