Ok - it's official. We're going to DISNEY! But now reality is setting in. We leave in 2 weeks, and will be gone for 5 days. Nothing like last minute planning - who books a trip like this 2 weeks out?!?

But at any rate...we want to bring our stroller, but I'm scared they won't let us carry it on so that we can have it for our connections. One of them is 3 hours long and that will not be fun with the little man.

Does anyone know if an airline (Continental) will allow you to use a stroller as a carry on (it's a graco one - part of a travel system)? But NOT gate-check it so it goes under the plane? We're not bringing his car seat, so this is the only big mystery.

Also - I need ideas for toys/activities that will keep an almost 15 month old happy during travel and while at the hotel. I'm scared he'll have nothing to play with during our down time at the resort. We're staying at the ASMusic so I know there's things to do there, but what about before bed/early morning, etc?

Help!!

Why don't you want to gate check your stroller? When you check it at the gate, you get the stroller right back after the flight is over. You would have it to use for your connections.

I doubt that you will be allowed to carry your stroller onto the plane with you, most strollers wouldn't fit in an overhead compartment, even folded up.

For activities to keep your 15 mo old busy, I would bring a few favorite toys and a couple new ones and whatever will help your child nap. If they have a favorite stuffed animal or blanket, so they feel comfortable.

OHHHHHHHH! I didn't know you got it for your connections if you did that! I thought it disappears until your final destination. My mistake. That's excellent then. THANK YOU! This is our first time flying with a little one, so I wasn't sure.

you won't get it back until you reach your final destination. i see parents take strollers on the plane all the time, i have no idea what they do with them, but my best advice to you is to call the 800 number of the airline you are flying with and ask about the stroller. a 3 hour layover is a long time with a 15 month old.

I've always gotten my gate checked stroller (where they just put a bright orange or pink tag, not actual checked luggage) back at every connection. The strollers come up w/the wheelchairs, etc.

yep, gate check the stroller! You drop it off when you board the plane and pick it up as you walk off. :)

YES, gate check it as soon as you walk off the plane it will be there waiting for you i loved that!
And lol we also decided about a week ago that we will be going to disneyland and we will be there on the jan 3rd , but Dh and I have always been last minuite planners, and we are coming from northern alberta:lmao:
