We used a travel agent to book our WDW trip and she was VERY helpful and patient with me :D We have gotten great deals and as our trip looms ahead we realized she is not getting paid very much!! What is the standard payment for a travel agent?
We would like to give our TA a thank you gift? or a tip? Is this something done normally and if so how much without offending!

Sorry to not have responded very quickly to your message. To be honest, I did read your question and thought that maybe you were looking for an answer from someone who was not a TA. I can tell you that some TA's are paid an hourly wage (usually not great), some like myself work on straight commission, and others are a combination of salary and a small commission. It really depends on the agency. As far as tipping goes, it isn't a usual practice, although from time to time it is nice to receive a note of appreciation. Probably the best thing you can do for a TA you are really happy with, is to refer others to her.:)
