Does anyone know how to fire a travel agent after you have put down a deposit? I am having a terrible time with my travel agent. She is not helping me at all. Everything sounded good when I met her but now that I booked, she says she cant give me the base ticket with the free upgrades Disney is offering now and I am traveling within the specified dates. I also asked her about adding the Dining Plan and she made a big deal about that saying it was going to cost "X" amount and "X" amount does not add up to what Disney says it should cost. Please help!!!!

You need to contact the agency director right away. We are using an agent and she changed our reservation to take advantage of the free upgrades once they were announced! I'm not sure what other recourse you might have other than to report them to the BBB and to Disney as well. Good luck to you!

You should be able to transfer your reservation to a travel agent that can get you the offers that are available now from Disney. You will probably have to sign a form that your new TA will give you, but there's no reason you should have to pay for sub standard service.

The purpose of having a TA is so that you have someone working on your behalf to enquire about and apply current promotions to your reservation. If you're going to do all the work yourself, you might as well book directly with Disney.

I'm so sorry for you...just a note though, she may not be able to get you the upgraded package if it is not available for your room category or resort. She should however continue to try to do this for you. Do you know if she booked directly with Disney? If so, all of Disney's promotions should be able to be applied if available and all costs should remain the same. Adding dining should never be a problem unless it is less than 6 days until you leave. She may be adding on fees for her "services" and that is really not the right thing to do.

My suggestion would be to tell her that you want to turn your reservation over to a new agent or to Disney directly. You will need her to fax a letter to Disney authorizing this change.

Ummm yes u can. This is what I do for a living. And I think the reason is it is allot of extra paper work. U have to rebook the whole vacation. They just don't want to do it cause it may lower their commishion thats just not right hun. Sorry to hear.
