travel agency

!
Wow, so I could "earn/save" some more money over the high quality job it appears to sound like by using this agency.

I used Disney gift cards that I bought at BJ's at a discount. TA has been applying them as I get them with no problem. I just send her a list of the numbers and she gets back to me with the new balance. I figure the extra 4% I save in addition to the discount is just an added bonus

I have to say that I am a little upset and leary of them. I was quoted a price in an email and after two days of communicating back and forth with this agent, the day I called to give her my cc number, she tells me the computer made a mistake and that she quoted me the wrong price, and it was going to be $800 more. Well, it caught me off guard a little and when she asked me did I still want to book it, I did, because it was still cheaper than Disney's. But now I'm rethinking this because it has been 3 days since she took my cc info and still no paperwork from either them or Disney letting me know what the balance is, etc... And it takes her a very long time to get back in touch with me when I have a question. I sent her a question yesterday morning and she still hasn't got back to me. I should have known better than to do this! I always book directly with Disney, but I was trying to get this great deal and now I'm skeptical. She did give me a confirmation # and I can see the ressie on DME, so I know its booked, but I would like to have some kind of paperwork letting me know what the total and balance is. All I have is what she told me over the phone because the emails she sent were wrong. Am I wrong to be worried?

Edited to add that I just had some email conversations with her and I feel a little better now, but I do think that when they quote a price they should double check their numbers to make sure they are right before sending them out.

I had no problems using them for my last trip. Yes they can be a little slow but I'm sure that has to do with the volume of business they do.

Sorry you are having problems. The TA that contacted me has been really quick with replies. I used a different agency last year and waited a few times to get a response so I do understand. With that agent, I had to tell her that I knew there were discounts coming out from the info I read here and she didn't have any of the info and hadn't heard about the discount. Luckily I did get my discount but it was disappointing to find her less than informed. I hope if you choose to continue with her it gets better.

Has anyone had any experience booking with this agency on short notice? If so, with how much/little advance notice was the reservation made? Was your first choice available?

I understand, like with any travel booking, it will be subject to availability for the requested dates, and for a short notice booking, the entire payment will be due at time reservation is made.

I booked with an agency for this January. It was the same price as listed on Disney's website, but I show that their agnecy has had discounts at that time in the past. Plus, if (when) Disney has discounts for this time period (they historically have, so I'm optimistically keeping my fingers crossed), she has stressed many times that it is her job to immediately booked the discount. She even advised me on the resorts that are most likely to get discounts at that time from the historical records, so I changed resorts to one of those. She said that she would change without contacting me before if it didn't change the package (resort, dates, dining, etc.), otherwise she'd call me immeidately. She's answered all my e-mails (I've been emailing her for a couple of months) within hours, and on Sunday night sent me a reminder that the new rates were coming out and Monday morning had me booked. Within minutes of me confirming with her, I had 3 e-mails with all my info and was linked to my MDE! I was really nervous because I've always done it myself, but haven't been since the new FP+ and the must have ADR's and was comfortable with her advice.

Is there any advantage to book through them paying full price at first before the deal comes, out in late summer or do you suggest waiting. It would be for summer of 2016
