Transporting gown and rings

For those of you who already got married in Disney, what would you suggest is the best and safest way to get my gown,the tux and wedding rings to disney.

I bought my dress a plane ticket for the way to Disney. One the way back I just shoved it in the overhead compartment. It weathered both trips very well. I know other girls have shipped their dresses to their hotel or EM, and have had no problems, but that made me nervous, and I didnt have a spare suitcase to shove the dress into. The plane ticket was worth my piece of mind, and the extra room on the plane!

We carried our wedding rings in our carry on.

My DH rented a tux in Florida so we didn't have to worry about transporting that.

rings went into our carry on...

my dress was not the big poofy kind, so i put it in a garment bag and laid it carefully in the storage bin above us...

DH just wore a suit for the wedding...so that went into a garment bag and carried it on with my dress...

We transported the rings in our carry-ons and the dress went in a garmet bag as checked luggage. We had a non-stop flight and almost a week between our arrival in Florida and the wedding - so I figured even if the dress got lost, chances are that it would arrive, or I'd have enough time to find a substitute if it was lost (I loved my dress, but would have gone through the wedding in my underwear if I had to ). I just had the dress steamed by Carolyn Allen's the day of the wedding (it turned out great!) As far as the tux goes, we rented from Gingis in Orlando and they delivered/picked up at the hotel for us.

After seeing an episode of 'Airline' on A&E in which a wedding dress that was checked got ran over by one of the luggage carts on the tarmac, I would NEVER check my wedding dress.

Rings were in the carry on. My dress was put in the closet on the plane. The flight attendants were great on Delta. The tuxes were delivered to the Boardwalk for us.
