How early do buses run to the parks before park opening? We have a 8:15 ADR at Tusker house and the park doesn't open until 9:00; so, I'm wondering if we'll be able to take a bus from AKV early enough to make our ADR...

They usually start between 6 and 6:30 am. They run a little less frequently that early, I'd be at the bus stop by 7:15 if it were me.

They have character dining busses that run for those early ADRs. When you get on the bus, you'll have to tell the driver which breakfast you're going to, and they'll take you there.

I don't know what time they start, or how long these busses take (I've never done it myself, but will be using it this August!)

What we plan on doing in calling the concierge the night before and ask what time the busses start running, how often they'll run, and how long it should take to get there.

THere are park buses running, from all the resorts to each of the parks. Get out to the AK bus stop around 7ish. When the AK bus comes toodling along, hop on. The walk to Tusker House is pretty lengthy as is the walk from the bus stop area to the park entrance. So..you should leave time to make those walks. And as already mentioned, the buses don't come as frequently as the normal buses do.

There will be a bus to each of the parks..no need to tell the driver where you're going. But..if you'll be going to, say, Chef Mickey's and are taking the MK bus, you can ask the driver when you board what is the fastest way to the CR...walking or the monorail. He may very well offer to drop you right at the CR.
The buses to the parks start running between 6:15 and 6:30. They do run less frequently than the regular buses...at least 20 mins between buses. So you need to plan on at least an hour to get from your resort to an early park ADR. Early resort ADRs are a whole different story since they are most likely going to involve transfers at some point.

If you have any concerns, once there, ask the drivers. They have the correct info. I have asked many different CMs within the resort, the exact same question (and one I already knew the answer to) and got many, many incorrect answers.
