Transportation to MCO

We are staying at AKL and have a departing flight at MCO on 3/23/12 which departs at 8:30am. I am guessing we would need to arrive at the airport around 6:30am...my question is does Disney transportation leave early enough to get up to the airport that morning or would we need to take a taxi, etc?

Anytime we have taken ME from our resort to the airport they have picked us up 3 hours before our departure time. The ride to the airport isn't that long so that will get you there in plenty of time.

So, the bus runs that early? Picking us up at 5:30am?

I would think so but we have never left that early. When you book ME to pick you up at the airport, ask about leaving. They ask for your flight info so they would be able to tell you.

Yes, DME runs 24/7 and will definately pick up in time for your flight.

Yes, they run that early. For a flight leaving at 8:30 AM you will be picked up around 5:30 am.

Like the other posters said, it runs 24/7. I've been on the bus at 5:00 for an 8:00 flight. The bus driver was a little too bright eyed and bushy tailed for me (not really, but she was amazingly chipper for that time of the day!). You will not be alone on the bus. We were picked up at Fort Wilderness and there were a couple families on the bus. Then we went to Wilderness Lodge. Went to the airport with the bus about 3/4 full.
