Transportation to/from MCO and Universal

We are tentatively planning a trip to Universal and Disney next summer. I’m not sure if we’ll be going to Universal or Disney first. We used Mears Connect with no problems in April and plan on using them again, but I see they don’t drop off or pick up at any Universal hotel. What’s the best option for us to get from the airport to Universal or vice versa? We’ll use Mears Connect to get us to or from the airport to or from Disney.

It happens to be operated by Mears. It’s a good, reliable service.

My Lyft ride from MCO to CBBR on Sunday morning last week was $31.87 + tip. My return Lyft ride to MCO from CBBR on Friday afternoon was $23.99 + tip. Would not have been big enough for 4 people though, you would have to go with a bigger car. I have no idea what the Universal shuttle would cost for comparison.

Just throwing out Mears Global as another option. This is their private service. We had a group of 8 and the cost was $109 one way, which works out to less than $14pp. Our driver met us at baggage claim and assisted getting the luggage to the van, and then loaded everything. Even for 4 you are looking at around $25pp, a bit more than the shared service, but you get a private, direct ride. Just something to consider.
