What would be the cheapest/easiest way to get to and from St.Petersburg to Disney. I am not getting good flights out of MCO. We will have a 2 year old and 3 adults.

Thanks! I guess its time to shop around for car rental. I can't believe the prices. Alamo quoted 300 dollars for 1 day.

If your plane arrives at St.Pete late at night, make sure the rental car company knows you are going to be late. Also let them know the flight you are on so they can track it. The rental desks for some of the car companies close early. However, they will have someone waiting for you if they know you are coming in.

For what on earth kind of vehicle? Or was there a drop-off fee involved? Normally there are no drop-off fees between the airports in Central Florida, but PIE is very small, so I guess it's possible.

Remember that depending on what days of the week you are dealing with and where you are taking the car, renting for your entire stay may end up cheaper than doing single-day rentals with multiple drop-off points. Also, stay away from minivans unless you have more than 5 passengers; they are always notoriously overpriced. You can get just as much (if not more) stuff into a full-size car as long as you don't have more than 5 butts to put in the seats.

Hmm. I do think it was a mini van. We would have 4 butts and a carseat. I just didn't see how we could get 4 suitcases into a car.

In the great big trunk that a full-size car has. The trunk of a Chevy Impala is HUGE; 18.6 cu.ft.; two grown men could easily curl up inside it. We routinely put a 28" pullman, a 30 qt. rolling cooler, two 22" rollaboards and a Maclaren stroller in the trunk of a rental Impala with plenty of room to spare.
