My mother and I recently returned from WDW. This was Mom's first trip and my first trip staying on property - so both of us the first time using Disney transportation. I must say we were very impressed! Maybe this is a first timers opinion but we loved Disney transportation! It was so nice not to have to worry about getting around.

Magical Express - I can honestly say this was truly a "Magical" experience for us. When we went down to Ground Transportation at MCO there were hundreds of people - I was trying to estimate 500 + - everything was moving very smoothly. We were on our bus and on our way in less than 10 minutes. I find that quite an accomplishment given the number of people who were using the transport. Our bag was waiting in our resort room when we arrived back to our room that evening. I love this service! When we were departing our ME bus was about 15 minutes late picking us up but it didn't impact our time at the airport - we had plenty of time to eat before our flight.

Buses - We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus - even during peak travel times. Extra buses were called in regularly as needed at our Resort and at the Parks. Extra buses were ordered at Epcot when previous buses were taking longer to load with ECVs. At one point there were three buses loading at one time for our resort (POR). Again I was impressed with the efficiency.

Boats - We took both boats to and from Downtown Disney to our Resort (POR), from the WL to MK, from DHS to International Gateway and within Epcot. We really enjoyed the relaxed pace of the boats and never waited more than 15 minutes for a boat. They weren't always the fastest option but we didn't mind that and enjoyed the restfulness of the ride.

Resort Airline Check In - We checked in for our flight around 8:00am before leaving for a character breakfast reservation on our final day. There was no one in our check in line and the entire process took about 5 minutes! We had allowed ourselves more time than we needed so had extra time to do a little shopping in our resort gift shop. The whole experience was very pleasant - we enjoyed not having to worry about our bag or boarding passes at the airport.

All in all - my experience left me with a very "magical" feeling. For this first timer I give Disney Transportation a big :thumbsup2!
