My husband and I are staying at Shades of Green July 5-13. I know we can walk over to the Poly and use the monorail, but we will also have our own rental car. In your opinion, is it easier to use Disney transportation all day (like for PS etc) or is it better to drive our own car?

On the MK day, we have no PS.
On the Epcot Day, we are eating both meals there.
On the MGM day we are eating at Epcot.
On the AK day we are eating there.

We will want to go back to the hotel mid afternoon to rest and clean up for dinner. So, I am wondering which is easier--

Like on the AK day, we will eat lunch there, and then back to the hotel. However, we are also eating dinner there (Boma), so should we drive or take disney transport?

Same for the MGM day--leaving park, eating dinner, then back for Fantasmic.

Thanks!

We use the car as much as possible. It us much faster than the busses. You will have to set aside a lot of time to take a bus from place to place - at least an hour each way.

The only park that I would say to use the park transport would be MK. It is a lot closer to get on the busses as opposed to taking the monorail and tram to get to your car. If you have a good parking spot, you could also drive in the AM, take the busses back to rest and then take your car home at night to cut down on your driving back and forth. Just a suggestion on another way to get around in the parks.

WDW is going to be busy and the buses will be crowded and I know I would avoid them if possible. Taking it on your MK day would be ok, since you are just going there and back.

On your AK day, I would drive. Since you are leaving the park to go to Boma, you would have do a bus transfer to get from AKL back to SOG. Or you could take the bus to MK, walk/monorail to Polynesian and then to SOG. Either way. a multi step process. Those are the ones I really try to avoid. Not much fun when you are tired and hot!:earseek:
