Transportation outside of Universal

I am planning a trip to Universal in May. I will be staying on site, but would like to get to International Drive to purchase some beer and wine for our room. I am not renting a car and am wondering what is the best way to get to International Drive to get the I Trolley. Is it possible to walk from Universal to International Drive? Is a taxi that only way I can get to a store to purchase these items? Any help would be appreciated.

We get a towncar transfer from the airport with a grocery stop on the way to the Hard Rock. We use ****** towncar service. They have the best prices and service! We had several transfers last year with several different drivers and they ALL were wonderful! Always on time and friendly. And the grocery stop is free with a round trip transfer!

So, you can walk onto International Drive? Did you mean a taxi would cost about $5.00 from Universal onto International Drive. Thanks so much for the info.

Don't know if you would want to do it but you can also go thru citywalk like your leaving and go up universal blvd and turn on kirkman dr and there is a walgreens you can probably get that stuff but wine I don't know but it is like a 10 min walk
It too is only a $5.00 taxi ride
