transportation from WDW to US?

This question is for a friend of mine who is going to WDW sooner than I will be ;o) Here's her question:

When we go to WDW my parents and brother will be joining us for a couple of the days, my brother wants to go to Universal Studios for one day but they don't want to rent a car for the whole time they are there. Is there anyway to get from WDW to US? I supposed they could take a cab but I wonder how much that would cost...

Mears has shuttle service from WDW to US. It's not the greatest service but it'll get you there. I have no idea about taxi's...sorry.

Tiffany Towncar will pick you up at your resort at a designated time, drop you at US. You call them on a toll free number about 30 minutes before you want to leave the park and they will pick you up and return you to your hotel. All for about $45 - $50 round trip.

The Mears shuttle is not bad. It's usually on time in the morning, but you generally end up stopping at several hotels. It tends to run late on the return trip, but not obnoxiously so.
A taxi is another option...bell services can call one for you. However, if you want to go that route, check into the price of a towncar instead. We use Happy Limo...haven't taken them from WDW to US/IOA yet, but we've taken them there from Port Canaveral and then back to the airport. We used to do that with a taxi but much prefer the towncar now. We're doing it again in November.
