We are leaning towards a car service vs. the airport shuttle to get to PBH. I know FL Tours advertises on the DIS, but are they really the best? What can anyone tell me about them and other services they have used? Oh, and is Mears really that bad? Thanks.

we used FL Tours last year and they were great. Stopped at store to let us buy groceries, drinks etc. Also picked us up for Cirque De Soleil- can't say a thing bad about them!!

We also used FL Tours 2-3 times. But...like damo said about the taxi's being easiest I'm wondering if its also cheaper?

Our last few trips had more than 3 destinations and FL Tours was very reasonable and Andy is terrific. If Its just gonna be a RT I think I will check out the Taxi's too.

What kind of $$$ are we talking for a cab? My experience with cabs at an airport is not good (long lines to get the next available cab). That is why I am thinking that a person at baggage with my name on a placard is not a bad thing. Our rate is $95 r/t.

Hi,

I would be interested to hear how much a taxi is also. Althought, I thought someone said a taxi was $20 just to go from Universal to Seaworld.

I read on these boards about personal drivers. Go to taxi-mco.com. I booked Ed Korgan (heard good things about him on these boards). He told me $80 roundtrip.

Good Luck!

We have used Tiffany Town car on a couple of our trips and they are wonderful and always right there waiting for you early.

It is costing us $95.00 for a Van (5 people in our party) to go from the airport to HRH, then from HRH to Disney. With a stop to a grocery store added in there.

We have never had any problems just picking up a cab at the airport. Make sure that they put you on the ticker and don't just throw a price at you. I can't recall perfectly but I think it was around $35.

A taxi is the most cost efficient way for me and my party of 2 pre teen boys. It's about 33.00 one way, direct vs a mears shuttle which is about 37.00 one way with several stops to other resorts along the way.

If you need to make a grocery stop I would suggest a car service like Cartier or Florida tours.

You can go to mearstransportation.com and click on the taxi link for a fare estimator. You can get a quote from any starting point to any destination in orlando. You can also get the fare for the shuttle there.

Good luck with your plans.
