Transportation from resorts to parks

We typically fly to disney and use the buses,monorails, boats etc for transportation. This February we will be driving so we will have our car. We will be staying at AKL. Is it worth for us the drive to each park, or are we better off with the buses? TIA

A lot of people who have cars prefer to take the bus to the MK since the buses go right to the gate, rather than having to park at the TTC and take the ferry or the monorail to the entrance.

When we have had a car, we've preferred to drive everywhere except MK. With AKL being so remote, not waiting on buses on top of transportation time would probably be extra nice.

We even drive to MK, sometimes have been close enough that we could walk into the TTC from the parking lot to catch the monorail. Driving around WDW is very easy.

in recent years we started flying but this past summer we drove and we parked the car when we checked in and took our luggage out and we did not see the car again until we loaded it up to leave.

we like disney's transportation.
its so much more relaxing than driving to the parks and having to walk from the parking lot to the park entrance and at night its so much nicer to just get on the bus and not have to think until you get off. i've started to doze a few times on the bus back to the resort at night.

I would drive to EP and DHS and use Disney transport to MK and AK. The AKL bus will get you closer to the MK entrance and AK is so close to AKL, you might as well take the bus!

agreed - we drive everywhere including MK. We enjoy the ferry ride over to MK (or the monorail if it is cold). Also having the car right there (at any park) is great - we tend to keep spare shoes (change them out between parks), snacks, water etc in the car.
