We have an 8:15 reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table (on a day the park opens at 9am). Crowd predictors are running at 4/5 out of 10 so it's not empty but not crazy busy prediction that week.

Do we really need 1 hr to get to Magic Kingdom? If we catch a bus straight off and drive right there - how long is the actual bus ride?

If Pop Century is a dedicated bus line (no sharing with other resorts) can we safely catch a bus at 7:30am since rope drop crowds won't be riding until later?

Don't want to be late to our reservation but I don't want to drag the family out of bed too early either.

Thanks!

The actual ride is about 10 minutes.

Keep in mind, you may wait up to 30 minutes for a bus. Then you'll need to go through bag check, enter the park, and walk to the restaurant. That will take about 15 minutes. The recommendation of 1 hour has nothing to do with crowds. In fact, buses come much more frequently when more people are heading to the park.

I would be at the bus stop no later than 7:15.

We had an 8am BBB appt in October, and we were at the bus stop by 6:45. The bus ride is maybe 15ish minutes, but you also have to do bag check, and enter through a special pre park opening line which can be very long. No way would I wait until 7:30. 7:00 would likely be fine.

I agree with being at the bus stop by 7. That early, the buses only run about every thirty minutes, so 7:15 could be just a tad late. You might end up on the 7:30ish bus.

Which direction does the monorail travel on the Epcot loop?

If we boarded the monorail at Epcot would it go straight to the transportation center or would we loop through Epcot park first?

Trying to find a fun way to travel to Polynesia and back from our resort. Would love to ride the monorail through Epcot for a sneak peak (kids first time - they would love to ride the monorail even if it isn't the simplest way to get to Poly).

Only the incomming monorail goes through the park. If you get on at Epcot, you'll go straight to the TTC.

No way should you wait until 7:30 to be at the bus stop. You don't know how long you will have to wait for the right bus to show up. And once you are on the bus, you have no idea what kind of traffic you may encounter. Disney suggests allowing 90 minutes to make it to your ADR using their transportation. Cut that time at your own risk. But keep in mind that if you are late, you may either be treated as a walk up, or not be seated at all. And still charged.

I have gone to using taxis to make it to early morning ADRs. For around $20 you gain a lot of sleep time. Take a taxi, and have it drop you off at the Contemporary. Walk to MK. But even doing that, you need to be getting that taxi no later than 7:20.

I'll have to float this idea by my husband. I don't want to drag the kids out of the resort at 6:30 and not feed them until 8:15....there will be a lot of whining....from everyone!

Do you ask for a taxi at the front desk? Can you pre-book? Are there concerns about booster seats for small children in a taxi?

Thanks!
