In January 2014, I took Karmel Shuttle and had no big problems. The pickup to the airport was a little late and I called dispatch a couple of times, but, we made it on time and all was good.

I booked them for our upcoming trip and had to call to get the coupon as the online reservation wasn't working with the coupon code. However, I've been reading the reviews for Karmel and there are some not so favorable reviews on Yelp. Should I be nervous?

Would you stay with Karmel or book with Super Shuttle or someone else? It is 2 adults.

The past three trips we've used Disneyland Express and will use it again this time. They have treated us very well -- in fact, they went above and beyond at our last trip when I screwed up our return time.

They are fast and efficient and always show up when they say they will. And they don't require a reservation upon arriving at LAX. (They will, however, take a reservation to get you back to the airport for your return flight.)

I've been very happy with them.

My last experience with Disneyland Express wasn't so positive. We just missed the bus and had to wait a full 55 minutes for another to arrive. It was hot, crowded, and the exhaust fumes were horrible. And on our return trip we got the bus driver from hell. He spent several minutes warning us NOT to push the emergency buttons on the ceiling. Made a big deal that the LA police would come if we did. Of course some guy try's it five minutes later and no police came! He was just way too bossy for my liking,

I booked Super Shuttle shared van for our June trip. I know we might circle the airport trolling for additional passengers, but at least I will be sitting in the air conditioned van. There are both good and bad reviews for each shuttle service it seems.

We have just returned from our trip yesterday and used karmel for our airport/hotel transfers. Both ways we had positive experiences! The driver who picked us up from the airport was awesome! He talked heaps lol, but I about useful stuff about the area eg tipping, taxes etc ( we are from Australia). Had a different driver pick us up from our hotel, he was very nice, but quiet most of the trip. Both ways they were on time. They did not circle the airport, we were the only family in the shuttle both times (family of 6) and I only paid the shared shuttle rate. I would use them again!

Thanks for the comments. I've checked out Prime Time, Super Shuttle, and Karmel. All 3 have good and bad experiences posted on Yelp. I think I will stick with my Karmel Shared Shuttle reservation.

My wife and I are going in July and after reading this I looked at Karmel and Super Shuttle going from SNA to CCI was $62 with Karmel and $36 with Super Shuttle. I just booked Super Shuttle.

I have used Super Shuttle on business trips at other airports and never had any issues.

I have Karmel from LAX to DLH for $78 using an online coupon. I had to call once I made my online reservation and give them the code because it wasn't working right online. You might check for codes online.

I have used Super Shuttle from SNA to CCI several times before with no problems. Circling SNA isn't that big of a deal.

FWIW we prefer Disneyland Express because it's a large bus and is generally a more comfortable ride. We take it to/from LAX on those occasions where we must use LAX rather than SNA or LGB.

I usually use DLE but we will most likely not be arriving at the airport until 10pm. Looks like the last DLE pick up is around 8pm.

Any one had experience using Super Shuttle or Karmel late at night? We don't really want to circle the airport until we have a full shuttle then head to our hotel that late at night. There is just 2 of us.

It is not a shuttle, but a car service, but we used A&E Limo from SNA to GCH and it was flawless! Emailed confirmation the day before and waiting at the airport.

You can get an online quote as well. We made a quick grocery stop as well.
