Staying at Rosen Inn Universal. I have 3 days at Disney. Mears scheduled shuttle is 23.00 round trip. Considering taking Public transportation (how I get around at home so not scares)Then there is lyft. My main issue is getting back at night especially after MK fireworks. Any experience and suggestions appreciated. I can walk to Universal and trolley to Seaworld so I'm good on those.

Bus transportation in Orlando is not great.

You can get from your hotel to WDW, but it will take 2 or 3 transfers:
  1. Link #8 along I-Drive to Sea World
  2. Link #50 to DS or TTC
  3. From DS: Disney Bus (n/a in the a.m.) or walk (to SSR) from DS to a resort; or from TTC: walk or Transport to a resort (or direct to MK)
  4. Disney bus from resort to park (other than MK)
The I-Drive bus runs every 15 minutes, but the bus to Disney only runs every 30 min., or once an hour late night. Last bus from TTC is at midnight.

You can use the I-Ride Trolley bus as an alternate to #8, but it will be an additional fare, whereas #8 to #50 is a free transfer (get transfer when boarding 1st bus.) They share most stops along I-Drive and across from Sea World, but the Trolley also goes into Sea World while the #8 just stops on the street.

If you want to get off at DS and walk to SSR, it's better to get off at the street stop at Buena Vista Dr. & Hotel Plaza Blvd. and walk across the pedestrian bridge to DS, than to stay on the bus into the DS stop at the opposite end of DS.

Website www.golynx.com has online schedules for the county buses, and they are also in Google Maps.

Don't know. There are several other threads about that.
