What is the best way to get from the resort to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank? We are flying to California and taking the shuttle to the Resort. We won't have a car. We will be getting a tour of the Studios, but we're not sure what is the best way to get there. Does anyone know what the cost of a taxi might be? Or are there busses? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm not at all an expert on LA mass transit, but your post piqued my curiosity. From the maps, I'd say the best mass transit option is taxi to Anaheim Metrolink station, Metrolink orange line to Burbank station, then taxi to Disney studios.

I have no idea on the cost, but it's gotta be a lot less than a taxi all the way. That would have to be $$$$.

That's a very good question, Burbank and Anaheim are quite far apart. We always get rental cars because everything in the LA area is so spread apart.

You are very lucky to get a studio tour. I have been to the studios once (got a limited tour) and it was great. Make sure to take lots of pics. And, if you are into the Partners and Sharing the Magic statues by Blaine Gibson (I love 'em), they have one of each in the courtyard - kind of cool to take a pic since they have different backgrounds than the one at DL and MK.

Yep, a one-day car rental may very well turn out to be the most cost-effective and convenient option. VernonP, I'd research the train/taxi option, and compare that to renting a car for the day from DTD.

Also, isn't there an ART line that goes to the Anaheim station? If so, that could be a good alternative to taking a taxi.

There is an Alamo car rental in Downtown Disney if you are looking to get a rental for one day. I'm sure they deal with one day rentals all the time.
