Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for shuttles or this type of transportation from the DL area to USH? We want to spend one day at USH and the remainder of our trip near DL. I looked for hotels near USH but the cost is like double the cost near DL. So, now I'm thinking I might stay near DL and take some sort of shuttle to & from USH. This will be for myself and DD19. I don't want to rent a car which I know is cheaper as I don't drive that great in LA traffic so car rentals are out and I don't want to take a city bus either as it doesn't feel that safe to me. So, and suggestions on shuttles for a decent rate would be good to hear. Thanks!

A public transit bus trip would require crossing counties and I believe different systems. Some of the private coach services include park admission. However, you would be on their schedule.

You could take the train. Metrolink is cheaper, but you might consider Amtrak California's Pacific Surfliner. Metrolink is $17.50 round trip, and a connection to Metro Rail (light rail) Red Line is free with your train ticket. It's Anaheim To LA Union Station, then Metro Rail Red Line to Universal Studios/Studio City. Not all Red Line trains go to Universal though.

It may not be as fast as a bus depending on traffic, but it's pretty safe and it's an historic train station.

Universal Studios also operates a shuttle from the Metro station.

Thanks for your suggestions I will check them out. I appreciate the help in my trip planning.:flower1:

We are looking at booking with Luxbus. $35 each return. We have used them for Citadel outlets before and they were great. They have good reviews on tripadvisor too.
