transportation from Disneyland to the port in San Diego

I've not done this but I would think a cab to the Anaheim Amtrak and take a train to San Diego. The port of San Diego website says it's a short walk or taxi to the port from the train station.

We are taking the 10:30 train from Anaheim to San Diego on the 23rd. Cost is about $25 pp. Very easy to do.

We were going to take the train there and back, but on the day of our cruise there is work being done on the track, and our trip would have 20 minutes on the train and then we would be loaded in busses to finish the trip (another 1 hour+). If I'm going to be subject to traffic to get there, I'd just as soon drive, so that's what we're doing.

We took the train from San Diego back to Orange county when we did our last Panama Canal cruise (Holland America). The train station is about 2 blocks from the terminal, easy walk.

Are you saying that there will be work on the track on the 23rd? If so, how did you find that out?

No, our cruise isn't the one on the 23rd. If there is track work planned, the AMTRAK website will show if the particular train you want to take is a "get off and ride a bus" one. On the day we're cruising, it is. :(

I live in San Diego and have noticed the trains having delays fairly often recently. Mainly when a person or car is hit. I am sure they deal with this using busses, but be sure to allow time to get there and don't assume that the train will squeak you in right on time. (Im not sure what your departure date is) They have also closed the tracks for brush fires before. With a rental car, you can go around the 5 South route via the 15 if there are problems.

The train station is a very easy walk from the terminal. Sushi Deli on Broadway is awesome if you have spare time and want to grab a bite to eat. There is also a market for wine and snacks at Horton Plaza (right next to Sushi Deli).

We are taking the train from Anaheim on the 22nd and staying overnight in San Diego.

We are staying in San Diego and taking a day trip up to Disneyland a couple days before the EBPC. There's supposedly an ART bus that goes from disney to the train station. Supposed to run every 30 mins. If not that maybe a taxi ride from the park to the station...
