Transportation from Disney World to Universal Studios

I'm sure this question has been asked a lot, but I'm spending the first two days of my Disney vacation at Universal Studios and I need to find the easiest way of getting to and from Universal from a Disney World Resort. I've done a little research pointing me in the direction of calling a cab (i've been told to expect about $50 per way) to renting a car from the airport (about $200 for the week). I wanted to make sure there was nothing I was not aware of before I get down there. So far renting a car looks like the cheapest option.

Renting a car requires paying to park at Universal.

Consider staying at one of the 3 onsite Universal hotels for a night. One hour early park entry for HP and Express Line access to almost every attraction (not Forbidden Journey--HP). Walk, boat or bus from your hotel to a park. The walk from your hotel is probably less then the walk from the garage to a park.
