I need some advise from the experts.... I'm looking for roundtrip transfers from Disney to Port Canaveral. My group is 9 people plus luggage for a 7 night cruise. I would love to surprise them with a limo but... it's very expensive. Any advice on company to use or cost saving... Thanks in advance!

Unless it's a gigantic super-duper-stretch, it's going to be tough to fit nine people and luggage in a limo. Mostly the luggage.

You'll pretty much need to get a 15-passenger van (which holds 10 people plus luggage), which will run about $300 RT plus tip. FL Tours, Tiffany and others offer the service.

You can look into possibly renting two minvans for one way trips.....

We rented from AVIS and drove to Port Canaveral. There is an AVIS drop off just past the port. They will drive you to the ship when you return your vehicle. You could drop off all of your passengers, then go to return the vans.

It may be cheaper that way. You can price it out.

It might even be more cost effective just to book DCL transfers by the time you figure rental costs/car services, etc. DCL handles the luggage. It would cost $70 per person for a round trip from port to Disney and vice versa. Less hassle. Let DCL do all the work.

Actually, if I recall, for a smaller fee, you can have DCL pick up just your luggage. And then you can get transport from somebody else. You might want to check with DCL or your resort.

It is much cheaper to just do one way car rental. Than to pay DCL transfer fees. I would ge one Mini van and one other rental.

I have thought about the one-way rentals. That's what we normally do but I am taking 6, 19 year olds. It's difficult for rental cars due to their age. So, we will probably go with another option.

Last time I had to get info for a client I found Mears transfer price to be reasonable if it was a party of 5 or 6 or more, was less than many other companies both she and I tried. I thought they would be expensive, was suprised they were not.
