We normally fly into SNA or Long Beach, but my daughter’s bought tickets as a surprise and booked our flights through Burbank because they thought it was nearby. (Live and learn) We really don’t want to rent a car. How much is taxi or Uber from there? Any other options?

Uber is probably best in this case.

I will warn you if you've never flow into Burbank it can be ROUGH. The way the valleys are turbulence can be insane and landings can be hard especially with the weather patterns so far this year. It can sometimes feel like you are dropping very fast , and it is normal. Multiple flights have had passengers with full on panic attacks because of it. Great small airport but I hate it because of that lol.

I love Burbank airport and fly in and out of there once a month. Never had any problems. The airport is small, so traffic can be tough right in the airport pick up/drop off area when a flight comes in.

Sounds like flying into Vegas from SNA. It's definitely a ride!

Burbank is our go to airport, thanks to avelo direct flights . Small and easy airport to maneuver around. Uber from the airport to Disney always seems to be @$110 for us , as demand spikes with plane arrivals and many people are at the curb. Then it drops to $65 on the return Uber to Burbank . Traffic will be a factor, even on weekends at times . It’s always busy from Commerce to Buena Park. Usually the trip is @ 90 minutes, so use restroom before pickup. Early AM or later night arrivals/departure times are the fastest for traffic, and are 45 min. We did use Lansky limo a few times, but Uber is half the cost , even at $110.

runways at Burbank are short, and landing in a storm the last time was indeed an adventure with the wind. so nervous flyers should be forewarned

This is probably something you would have thought of, but just throwing it out there that if your daughter booked the flights on SW, you can change them to SNA, LGB, LAX, or ONT. You would have to pay the additional cost, if there is one. You could also find it costs less and get a credit for the difference (probably unlikely but you never know). Credits only go to the named passenger(s), not the person who booked.

Bumping to ask if anyone's used a car service from Burbank before?
