Transportation from ASMo to parks?

I've read that Movies is very close to Animal Kingdom, but it is quite far from MK in particular. We're a fam of 4 w/ a 6.5yo and 2.5yo.

Would you suggest taking a taxi to MK in order to get there before the drop and not have a long bus ride that morning? What about taxis to any other parks?

The buses can be fun for kids and the ride to MK might be 15-20 minutes. Taking a cab would be quicker, but it's all personal preference.

You could still get at the park by rope drop. Just find out what time buses pick up from the front desk. I'm guessing you'd want to make sure you catch a bus about 45 mins prior to rope drop, just in case your bus stops at some of the other AS resorts first.

You can not take a cab to the MK. A cab can take you to the TTC where you can get the monorail or a ferry to the MK...or you can have the cab take you to the Contemporary and then you can walk to the MK.
All in all I would say just taking the bus to the MK would be the better way to go.
I stayed at the Allstar Music in Dec and kept a record of my travel times (I was by myself and I do this to entertain myself) and generally the bus trip to the Mk was about 20 minutes. This is based on getting on the bus, and arriving at the bus stop at the MK.
In order to be at the rope drop for any of the parks just get to the bus stop about 45 minutes before the park opens for the MK and about 1/2 hour for the other parks.

Thank you, guys! Sounds like 45min ahead of time is the way to go. I was wondering where the taxis dropped off so thanks for that information, too, HelenK!
