Transportation from Airport to the DoubleTree

Hey everyone,

I am so excited for me and my BF's first trip to Florida. This will be my BF's first time at Universal Studios. Next time we are going to Disney World. But I was looking to book us a room at the DoubleTree Entrance to Universal... for anyone who has stayed there in the past or anyone who just has knowledge does the Hotel have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel or do we have to pay for a cab there. We don't want to rent a car so we were trying to stay as close to the parks as we can get without spending the money to stay onsite. But I know there are shuttles to the park if we don't want to walk but is there transportation to the hotel after we get off the plane and from the hotel to the airport?

Ok Thank you... do you have any transportation suggestions such as is it cheaper to take a cab or do they have shared shuttle buses. Anything you feel is a money saving choice?

Mears has shuttles from mco to hotels.
it is not free.

They have a shared shuttle also - it would be $60.00 Round Trip for 2 people.

We stood at Doubletree last year- it was great! We used Mears to get to the hotel and then back to the airport.

There are shuttles going from Doubletree to both Universal and SeaWorld, just watch the schedules. What I liked is that it's a 10 min. walk to the park, after trying this we never used the shuttle again. The road is lit up at night and the only other people we saw were doing the same as us- walking from park to hotel.

Google it- there are 2 roads to cross that made me nervous at first but the stoplights give plenty of time.
