I know that The tour buses will take you from Hotel to Theme Park but is there a bus that goes from Hotel to Hotel? I would like to tour the Hotels one day and see where to stay on our next trip. Would it be easier to just rent a car for the day? Do they have delivery and pickup service for car rentals? I assume taking a cab all day from place to place would be more expensive than just renting.

Hi Steve,

There are no direct resort-to-resort buses at WDW. However, many resorts are close to parks.

GF, Poly, CR, and WL can easily be reached from the MK (monorail or ferry, or you could walk to the CR).

Swan, Dolphin, Y&BC and BW can easily be reached from Epcot or the Studios (walk or ferry).

You can also take a bus direct to any resort from any theme park or water park, or you can take a bus from any resort to DTD and change for a bus to another resort. If all else fails, you can always take a taxi from resort to resort!

You can rent a car on property at the Dolphin Hotel or at the Car Care Center.

No buses go from resort to resort, except when picking up or dropping off people on the way to a park from a resort. However, I wouldn't try to predict which resorts they'll stop at on the way to a park. This changes frequently.

If you're wanting to tour resorts, I'd just rent a car and drive from one to the other. Much more control this way, and it'll be much faster.

There is a car rental location in the Dolphin hotel that has an Alamo and National desk. That would be a great place to rent just for the day, and still be close to a park (EPCOT) when you drop off the car.

I have a way that I normally visit the different resorts. I take the bus from my resort over to MK, then hop on the monorail and make stops at Contemporary, then the Polynesian, then GF. I head back to the MK and take the boat to WL and check that one out. Then, I go back to MK, and hop a bus for Boardwalk. Then I just walk around the lake and check out Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin and then over to the Yacht and Beach Clubs.
If you want to do more of the resorts, you could take the friendshop boat to MGM, and hop on a bus to say, POR and then you can check that one out, and then walk over to POFQ. Then, you could take the boat to DTD, and hop on a bus to the AllStars.
Wow...that would make for a long day wouldn't it??!! As for the others..POP, CBR and CSR..you could just take the bus from the different parks and visit each one individually. AKL is best done via the AK buses...go to AK, hop the AKL bus, and then back again, unless you take a different park bus from AKL. I don't do them all in one day....I usually break it up by sections. Have fun!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think that I'll probably get a feel for how much a hassle the busses are in my first few days and then decide on a rental car.
