Transportation for six!

In the past we have used TTC. I do not think 6 of us will fit. We just recently adopted a sib group of 3! Any suggestions for transportation to and from airport? Did not really want to put out big bucks for a limo!

well there was 6 of us as well when we traveled and we rented a limo. We all fit in, but it was pretty snug...we had way too many carry-ons with us. The bags hardly fit in the trunk, one had to be put in the front seat with the driver. If you opt for renting a limo and a person has more than 1 bag then you'll have to pay extra so they can send in another car for the extra bags.

First of all, congratulations on the additions to your family!

Why not consider a van from the DIS Transportation Board Sponsor, Florida Tours? A FL Tours van is only $10 more than their town car prices (which I believe are very competitive with TTC and the other Orlando area towncar services). The van will hold up to 10. Shouldn't have to worry about room for 6 people or their luggage with a van, right?

FWIW, I think those of us who benefit from the boards should try to patronize the board's sponsors whenever it makes sense to do so - without their support, I don't think we would have such a great resource to use free of charge to us. (And no, no one paid me to post that, LOL)!

One BIG thing to consider when reserving transportation is LUGGAGE. Take a look at the size of your bags, and how much stuff you think you'll be bringing. Some people travel light, but there are others that bring everything they own.

For 6 people, a standard van might not be the most glamorous, but would certainly do the job quite well, and not be very expensive at all, relatively speaking.

If you want glamour and glitz, a 10 passenger stretched limousine would also do the trick. (A 6 passenger limo might be able to squeeze the people in, but luggage space would be very tight)

We had 6 adults and used a van from Cartier Town Car. There was plenty of room for all of us and I believe the price was $90.00 R/T. We had 7 large suitcases and 6 carryons and everything fit comfortably. We also had the complimentary grocery stop.

Thank you. A van seems to the way to go. I never thought of it! Not used to traveling with 4 kids, used to one! It will be a learning experience I am sure. Thanks again everyone!

Congrats on your adoption.
You made 3 children very happy I'm sure..

We are a family of 6. My kids are 12, 8 , 8 and 5.
If we don't drive or rent a car/SUV or a van, we have always just used Mears.. Yes it's a pain but I don't have to worry about the luggage issue.. and I do over pack.

A company i'd used in October do a 10 person Lincoln Limousine or a Ford Van ( not sure if thats what its called lol ) they're called Quicksilver Tours and transportation i found them 1st class.
