I thought I would post this here rather than on the transportation board for all you cruise transportation experts. We will be arriving the day before our cruise and staying at the Radisson the night before our cruise. We originally planned on getting a van for all 11 of us from Tiffany Towncar to transport us to and from the port. We have used them many times in the past with no problems. We also have used them before when there was 11 of us and we all fit in the 10 passenger van.

We don't want to take a chance and book for 10 when their is 11 of us and all that extra clothing we will have for the cruise. So what are aour other options? We've seen 1 company that offers a 14 passenger van (Happy Limo) but can't find any other companies that offer this. Does anyone know of another?

Or we can get a van and 1 towncar but no matter how we price it out it's about the same.

Any suggestions of other companies who may be able to accomodate our large group or any other ideas? Thanks! :)

If I understand correctly, you only need tranportation to/from the port. If so, why do you not use Radisson shuttle service. It is free.

If I misunderstood, we were 11 people with quite a bit of luggage :guilty: and we used greyhound transportation, and they were amazing with us. We travelled during a hurricane, and were just supportive to us, and went out of their way to help us.

If two of you can drive, I would suggest renting a car from Budget rental car. That is what we do (I believe you can also use Hertz, but we never have tried them). You just pick up the car at the airport and the drivers and drop everyone off at the Radisson and then go drop off the cars (vans) at Budget, and I believe you can walk back to this hotel from there. The other option is to keep the car until the next day (you are paying for a day anyway) and drop everyone off at port and then return the cars/vans to Budget and take their shuttle back to the ship.

On the return trip, the Budget shuttles come and pick you up to go get the cars.

I must confess, my DH is the one that deals with the rental car, but he finds it very easy. The kids and I are just dropped off at port and he shows up a little later to join us.

I think Dave has Budget rental car info on his site:

I have used Happy Limo for smaller parties in the past and they did a great job.

We used A1 Central Florida/Star Cruiser for our January trip. We had 14 passengers and took a 14-passenger super stretch SUV excursion from the Hyatt to Port Canaveral (we transfered our big bags through Disney,so we only had carry-ons). For the return trip, we had an 18-passenger limo bus, which held all of our luggage (some of which was on the seats inside the bus). I had researched this issue a lot before we cruised because I wanted a large fancy vehicle that would transport all of us. A1/Star Cruiser had the best prices, and they did a very good job. The only slight problem was that the limo bus was about 15 minutes late in picking us up, and it did not hold nearly as much luggage in the back as they said it would, though we had extra room inside the bus for the extra bags. Bottom line, however, is that I would use them again

Good luck with whatever you decide, and enjoy your trip.
