:confused:We're DVC members and go to Disney every year. We like to stay at multiple resorts but what is the best transportation method without renting a car. For example, we'll stay at one resort for 4 days and switch to another for a week. We usually arrive via the Magical Express but find it difficult to switch resorts....unless we take a taxi. Any suggestions?

all you have to do is transport yourself. Take a resort bus to a park or downtowwn disney, and then get on the bus going to your new resort.

Disney will transfer your luggage, etc. to another resort (including refrigerated items) Everything arrives by about 4:00. To move yourselves, just take Disney transportation to a park and transfer there to a bus or whatever to your new "home".

Thanks...we never knew that Disney would transfer all the luggage, etc. We have, however, dragged luggage, etc. on the bus and it's a pain. We are a family of 5 and dragging the stuff is tough. Do you just tell the front desk? Is this the case with any of the Disney Resorts? Thanks so much.

When you are ready to check out of your current resort, call bell services and tell them you want your luggage transferred to your new resort. Bell services will come pick up all your luggage, including any food you want to transfer. If any are to be refrigerated, place them in a separate bag and label it. And then go have fun at the parks. Then later in the day check into your new resort. Or if you are like us do the bus transfer thing with the buses and check first at the new resort and then go to the parks. (Only one member of your party really needs to check-in.)

We've done this before also and it was easy. We checked with bell service at OKW the night before and they took our information down and asked what time to arrive. We asked for 9:00AM. We were a party of 8 at the time and had 10 pieces of assorted luggage. We had to be in our room when they arrived to tag all of the bags. We tipped $2.00 per bag ($20). When we checked in at the BCV and finally got our room (after 5:30PM) we called bell service to have it delivered (another $20), so other than tipping $40, it was easy. We actually had 2 cars, but decided to try the Disney way instead of shoving all of the stuff into the cars for the day.

Good point n2mm; if Bell Services is coming to room to pickup/deliver luggage someone must be there (otherwise do on own by going to Bell Services desk in resort's lobby).

Also, depending upon how many bags it may make sense $wise for one person in party to just take bags over to 2nd resort by cab & leave them with Bell Services.

:)
