Transportation between Disney parks

I can't find any good info on transportation INSIDE the parks, or how easy it is to get from park to park. Do the monorails run from Epcot to MGM? We have park hopper passes and I want to make sure it won't take me three hours to travel between parks before I book my Fantasmic Dinner package. Thanks!

the monrail is only for the MK resorts.

The epcot resorts have a boat or can walk to both Epcot and Studios.

everything else is bus transportation. 20 minutes will be longest wait (if that long)

Magic Kingdom and Epcot are the only two parks connected by a monorail. Epcot and MGM are connected by a boat. Aside from that, it's a bus ride between parks.

If you're in Epcot heading to MGM and plan to take the boat, it leaves from the International Gateway entrance, not the main entrance. The International Gateway is in the World Showcase, near France. The boat ride is 30 minutes, stopping at three hotels along the way.

Depending on the time of year, buses depart about every twenty minutes. Depending on traffic, the two farthest parks (Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom) are about a 10-15 minute bus ride apart.

Keep in mind you also need to account for walking time to get to the monorail station, boat launch, or bus stop. Then, there's the bag inspection and turnstyle when you get to the new park. We usually plan on about an hour to park hop. Sometime it takes a little more. Most times it takes a little less.

we've waited anywhere from 10 min to 50 mins at least twice on every trip we've taken.

to OP just beware the buses are not an exact science, just don't cut your travel time short.

You are so right - but lately staying at Pop Century - where the maximum wait is 20 minutes have spoiled me.

oh yes remember waiting over 90 minutes at BWV for the MK bus.
